Jurong 2012

Pelecanus onocrotalus (WHite Pelicans) at pelican cove. Jurong has 7 of the 8 species (only the Peruvian is missing)

This is above the pelican dive tank (I think), which is used to show the pelicans underwater at feeding time.

I didn't see this on my visit, is it a good display or does it not work as well as (presumably) envisioned?
 
@zooboy28: It works quite well during the daily feeding session. You can see very clearly how much the pouch expands underwater. The lone free-flying Brown Pelican doesn't bother demonstrating its plunge-dive skills though. Outside of feeding time, the pelicans don't even come near the tank at all.
 
I will have to ensure I see this on my next visit then :D
