male Andean cock-of-the-rock (Rupicola peruvianus)

there are currently two pairs on display at Jurong, in one of the Window On Paradise (bird of paradise) aviaries. There are two other pairs off-display, apparently to be exhibited at the River Safari. The birds were imported from Peru.

This male has a growth on the lower mandible.
