Now that River Safari has been opened for awhile are there indications of what parts of it are most popular with the public? I would guess the pandas probably.

Yes, you are right, because the pairs will be the first in Singapore to breed in a tropical climate. River Safari panda management team do not know when will the pandas getting to mate, so they are actually quite curios about that. Giant Panda Forest is the largest panda exhibit in South East Asia. Other than that, Amazon Flooded Forest is also another highlight to the public. Of course, not to forget the long waiting and new zone: Amazon River Quest (due to its boat ride)

Anecdotally, the most popular exhibits are (in order):
1. Giant Panda Forest (including the Red Pandas)
2. Squirrel Monkey Forest
3. Manatees at Amazon Flooded Forest
4. Mekong River giants tank
Initial word on the 'street' for the boat ride is largely negative due to the ridiculous waiting time (more than 2 hours when it began operating; now the park is implementing a booking system where you get a time slot instead of queueing), short ride (8 minutes), difficulty in seeing the animals, young children below 1.06m in height not being able to ride (due to safety requirements), and the ride being subject to weather conditions.
