This actually looks a rather reasonable exhibit, at least in terms of size. The dried leaves are a nice touch, but I can't imagine them lasting long, or even being replenished?
this is actually a pretty good size. There must be a lot of European zoos with smaller enclosures for raccoon dogs. Pity there isn't any natural substrate etc (as mentioned by others elsewhere).
Well, this might seem like weird logic, but it rains almost everyday in Singapore, so I thought it would be difficult to source naturally dry leaves, and drying them manually might require a bit of effort and cost, so it might have just been done for the opening of the exhibit...
