Breakfast with the Orangutans site

So they still do it in a less contact version perhaps, where people and orangs do not mix?.

Yes, for $35 you can have a buffet breakfast while the orangs have theirs. I did contemplate doing it, but the logistics of getting there from the hotel for an early start deterred me. When I saw the setting later, I was quite glad I hadn't gone. It's a big area with lots of tables and I would have been most disgruntled to have been seated at the back. Not like the promotional photos with a smiling family sitting just in front of the orangs and no one else around

The Zoo no longer allows contact between the orangutans and visitors. The visitors can go close to the apes for photos though.

The reality is very rarely like the promo photos!
