Dolphin Lagoon

This is the new Dolphin Lagoon which opened in Dec 09. Sadly it is a step backwards as it is significantly smaller than the old facility (which was a fenced off sea cove). This is the entire space which the pink Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins have. The holding pens are particularly small (at the back, sheltered area).

water quality looks better though and Id say that was the thinking behind this, unfortunate though for the animals.

Also, is this place suffering from the fantastic new aquarium in Singapore?

It's just a public access beach now.

Unless Underwater World can expand or have a major revamp, it's probably a matter of time before it shuts.
