Are you sure this is a sun bear. It looks more like an asian black bear to me.

This is an Asian Black Bear (Ursus (Selenarctos) thibetanus). As the scientific name Kakapo gives indicates the correct species I think this is just a translation mix-up on the English name - 'Sun Bear' is of course a common name for Helarctos malayanus.

the Asiatic black bear is also known as the moon bear......sun bear, moon bear, small difference :D

Its a formosan black bear ( Selenarctos thibetanus formosanus ) I've been to Taipei Zoo in June.
