Young giant rare fish - Chatuchak market, June 2013.

In this photo are three giant freshwater stingrays, as well as other large fish. I was surprised to find such numbers of the species on sale, but unfortunately they have a very very high mortality. The smallest one in this photo is dead, and the middle-sized one was excessively lethargic.

The two smaller, light-colored rays look like Himantura signifer. Not sure what I'd call the two larger seemingly faintly dark-mottled rays; this colouring isn't something I'd expect from any of the Asian fresh/brackish stingrays. The rear right fish looks like a cornish jack, but not entirely sure about that one either based on this photo alone (of course also gar + albino redtail cat).
