Chlidonias

flying geckoes (Ptychozoon spp)

at the upper campsite at Kaeng Krachan National Park, April 2014.

I think the one in the main photo is P. lionotum (the same animal as in the attached photo in the next post).
at the upper campsite at Kaeng Krachan National Park, April 2014.

I think the gecko in the main photo and the next one must be P. kaengkrachenense although I don't think the tail is right (unless it has been shed and regrown at some point). Apparently there are only two species in the upper levels of the park (P. lionotum and P. kaengkrachanense) and both are found together on the walls of the buildings at the campsite.

P. kaengkrachanense has three dorsal bands between the limbs and P. lionotum has four.

another photo of the above animal. From the comparison photos on siamensis.org (especially the handy photo showing the numbered bands on the dorsal surface) it looks like P. kaengkrachanense rather than P. lionotum but I'm open to correction.

a different animal. I think this one is definitely P. kaengkrachanense.
