Given the state in which P.t.corbetti finds itself in the wild, I find this animal more than usually depressing. Maybe I'm being a killjoy, but Thailand's native Tiger surely needs all the zoo space going.
pure white tigers, or pure Bengal tigers which were white?
I saw three white tigers at the Assam State Zoo (Guwahati) and one at the Alipore Zoo (Kolkata). I assume they were pure Bengal, being in India, but I don't know for sure.
I suspect all or nearly all Tigers( normal and/or white) in Indian Zoos are still pure. I wonder what the chances of ones in e.g. Thailand such as this one, having either come directly from India too, or bred from Indian imports, and therefore being pure also?
