The Gaur is indeed massive; I hope to see them at Whipsnade and Tallinn next month but I haven't seen a Gaur since I was in Singapore/Malaysia three years ago. Great bovids!

Is this a mixed exhibit for Africa and Asian ungulates? I ask because the grey one to the left looks like a young Wildebeest to me. How many and which species can you count in this photo?

it is indeed a wildebeest on the left in front of the gaur. The two deer to the right are sambar. I would guess the two to the left of the wildebeest are also sambar but they're mostly obscured so hard to say. I have no idea what the little one in front is: it looks rather like a young African antelope like bushbuck or nyala, but it could be a young Asian deer of some species?

You missed them at Omaha? They have the largest captive heard in the world I believe. 47 according to ISIS.

Actually they only keep a small portion of that massive heard at Omaha, most of it is out at their Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Park, been there? I didn't have time (nor car of course...)
