First time I saw this species was at RSCC, I believe they ended up a few minutes down the road at Wingham?
It's always nice to see a different species of otter than Asian small-clawed. Even though they're not particularly rare in the wild or in captivity, but I'd love to see more zoos house Eurasian otters - I'm all for the big zoos making a big deal of native fauna and making people more interested in it, but I can't think of many main UK zoos with an exhibit devoted to native species?

I agree, the UK has some nice small carnivores that would work well in a nocturnal exhibit. Unfortunately the closest thing in a mainstream zoo is Wild Wild Whipsnade which showcases locally extinct species. Not quite the same but I'm sure they could get my idea in somewhere if they wanted to.
