There are certainly some entertaining signs at this zoo! Did you notice any issues with tourists and the Bolivian altitude? In regards to football, the Bolivian national side always has a strong home record due to the high altitude of the stadium and even soccer giants like Brazil and Argentina have struggled when playing in the Andes.

This time I didn't get much of a chance to chat to tourists; most get quite easily out of breath though. Walking normally on flat terrain is usually manageable, but then running or walking uphill are extremely difficult activities due to the thin air. Even the airport is around 4000 metres above sea level, so descents by plane feel very short and your ears don't feel like they've finished popping.
A good cup of coca leaves tea is recommended in the andes for travellers. I tried it in Cusco, Peru and it did the trick. It is legal in the andes and it does not make you sneeze and you can still find the door.
