This unusual bird is a hybrid guan X piping-guan. Although it resembles Spix's, the relatively broad pale crown, bright blue face and small whitish extension to the throat wattle identifies it as a hybrid. There's a photo from 2012 in this gallery of the same hybrid, but whether that's a younger version of the same bird or a sibling is anyone's guess.
