I accidentally misplaced some of these pictures. This is actually a photo from the Zoological Park, which close to the Safari Park. By the entrance are a few islands home to primates.
On the sao paulo zoo website you can find the zoo magazine with alot of information on the zoo´s animals. It is in portuguese, of course. I have been to sao paulo zoo 3 times.
The last Lar gibbon was a female named Julia (if I remember correctly ) which was housed as a companion for the zoo's male orangutan , sadly she recently passed away.
