This may be jumping the gun, as I am sure you'll soon be covering this on your travels thread, but what is the story here? What an excellent animal to be able to see!

Thanks! This was obviously my main reason for visiting.
I don't think I'm adding much to Chlidonias' link but a group of these animals are maintained off-show, with a single animal being taken out briefly every morning for a couple of laps around an open area. Whilst the coati climbs on branches and digs in soil, a presenter gives quite an interesting talk about the animals. Unfortunately the whole affair only lasts a matter of minutes, and the coatis aren't shown to any visitors again until the next day.

is the talk in English or only Spanish, or dependent on the audience? And just once a day?

Only Spanish and once daily. It's much shorter than I had expected too - the whole thing lasts about five minutes! Visits to this 'rescue centre' can only be made as part of a timed guided tour, which is only available in Spanish anyway.
