This picture is somewhat like an optical illusion. I can not make out if only the rock-part is the exhibit, if there is room for the animals beneath it or how the visitors view them. Maybe my eyes getting bad, but I honestly can't tell.
The rock part is part of the enclosure, and there is a glass which was the viewing area for the visitors, you can see the reflexion of a hand at the right part of the picture
