Zoo was beautiful! No cages from what I can remember (The Olingo and the Yellow-tailed woolly monkey were both behind the scenes, so those don't count) Good sized exhibits, with good viewing for the visitors. Exhibits were either moated or with a glass barrier. Animals all seemed healthy and engaged.
One section of South American primates was dated made up of somewhat smallish glass enclosures with a few logs and ropes for the monkeys. But this is one of their projects for the near future, according to Wikipedia: "Jaziquima: This new habitat is an Amazin themed area, with 6 species of primates, from woolly monkeys to capuchin monkeys, it will be elevated and for this the old exhibits will be demolished, the exhibit will be constructed in August 2012."
