Lion exhibit.
I was looking through the 1985 guidebook to Aalborg Zoo and it mentions Indian lions. This was taken in 1986 so presumably those two were Indian. Up until this day, I had thought that my first Indian lions were in Tierpark Berlin in 1995. The lioness sure can be Indian but the male has a rather generous mane for an Indian I must say. But of course you can barely see him. Of course Indian Lions were much rarer in zoos back in those days than they are today.
