that's a nice photo. Female hummingbirds don't often fare well compared to males in the looks department, but I actually prefer the female of this species to the male.
Many thanks Chlidonias, Nanook, Vogelcommando. @Chlidonias: Almost all female birds are less attractive as the male (with exception of Eclectus Parrot, Fairy Bluebird & Satin Bowerbird in my opinion). As for this species, female is beautiful but I think male is much nicer.
