October 2008. The male would periodically take out his aggression on the sides of the cage. The concrete floor was filthy, and the female was pacing in this crappy cage.

There was a total of 5 mandrills in 3 different cages. All of the cages had concrete floors, chain link fencing, and almost zero enrichment. Brutal conditions for such splendid monkeys...
 
That is so sad.
 
@Hix: there are over 110 photos from this little zoo in Trinidad and Tobago in the ZooChat gallery, and the primate exhibits are the worst that I've ever seen. The zoo's concrete cages make the Berlin Zoo's exhibits look good! Haha.
 
Well, lets hope Trinidad and Tobago don't have a Heritage Listing Committee looking at the zoo!
