I didn't notice any hotwire around the plants, but I must admit I wasn't really looking for it. This enclosure housed five gorillas at the time (a bachelor group, as I'm sure you already know) and they seemed to have enough space to be away from each other. My photo only shows part of the outdoor enclosure (seen through a window). The indoor quarters were private so I don't know what those were like.
