Aalborg Zoo - African Village (Savannah)

The large African savanna as seen from the savannah viewing hut inside The African Village in Aalborg Zoo. This exhibit features rothchild’s giraffes (Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi), grevy’s zebras (Equus grevyi), greater kudus (Tragelaphus strepsiceros), scimitar-horned oryx (Oryx dammah) and ostriches (Struthio camelus).

The African Village opened in 2006 and is the biggest project in Aalborg Zoo’s history. It features wildlife from the African savannahs and wetlands.
