One of the four indoor exhibits for Sumatran tigers (Panthera tigris sumatrae) inside the Carnivore House in Aalborg Zoo. The indoor exhibit is made up of four different rooms that can be separated. In my humble opinion visitors are way too close to the animals.
The tiger in the picture is the last amur tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) living in Aalborg until a second Sumatran tiger can be acquired.
The new Carnivore Exhibits opened in 2012, twice doubling the space the big cats have outside. The old house was maintained, expanding the visitor facilities and giving it an Asian theme. The old big cat indoor exhibits remained unchanged except for the old leopard indoor exhibit that was rebuilt to also house tigers.
