Very unusual, but surprisingly pleasant. Much busier than I had expected, it turned out that this is a a romantic destination for Cairo's young couples. I think my grandma and I were the only pair who weren't holding hands.
Although there's not anything particularly interesting in the collection of freshwater fish, the roosting fruit bats overhead add to the unique ambience of this place. I'm glad I visited this time round.
