There are actually quite a few nice buildings on site, but with only a couple of hours at the zoo, we didn't get to see everything. Also, I've got a habit of photographing more unusual enclosures and animal conditions during such a short visit (either really good or really bad) so the view my photos give of the zoo will be slightly exaggerated.
It would be spectacular to stand on that bridge over a replication of the pre-dynastic Nile, complete with papyrus and lilies and Nile Softshell Turtles...even if pre-dynastic ecosystems and suspension bridges are contradictory!
I was actually referring to the brief period of time after desertication but before human establishment. I don't think creating a pre-desertification exhibit would be feasible since the ecology of the period is so unknown, and since there would be no moral or goal.
However, a recreation of the Nile from after desertification would powerfully prove to people how much the Nile has been damaged, solely by humankind.
I think this is the best attraction in the entire zoo! Is there anymore-structural design like this? Is the bridge in operation? Has it ever been used? I would love to walk across that bridge! It might be a good place to see large animals from, too! It they ever renovate the zoo; this would be a good idea.
