I'm amazed how horrible conditions can get without the notion of the zookeepers… I mean, how difficult would it be to clean this 'hole', that is supposed to function as an enclosure where an animal is likely to spend its miserable life. I have been to Egypt very often, and yet I've never visited a zoo there, simply because I dreaded what I might see… This proves my fears! Sad, really sad!
Do these animals ever get to go outdoors? I sure hope so. They really need some bedding of some type. These conditions are horrifying. They need to show these images on those sad HSUS commercials.
