How does such an abysmal cage remain standing? Why isn't this polar bear transferred to a zoo with better enclosures? Brutal.

i honestly dont have a problem with a polar bear in cairo, its just the cage

The polar bear is no longer at the zoo, but these cages still house other species of bear.

That bear looks emaciated. I can't imagine how hot an arctic species is in the desert. I hope it ended up in a good home.

I believe this bear was kept at the Alexandria Zoo for a period, but seeing that there are no longer polar bears there, I'm not sure what happened to this poor creature after that.

I believe this bear was transferred to the Alexandria Zoo for a period, but seeing as there are no longer any polar bears there now, I'm not sure what happened to this poor animal after that.

That's interesting - I don't really remember seeing polar bears in Alexandria after that time (2006); it would be interesting to find out more about this if you have more details.
