Somewhere in this photo lurks Bubo capensis dillonii. Was going to post a crop but thought this might be more fun! :D

A bloody nice taxon :) and one I suspect I will never see again.

It's good at hiding in trees, I can tell you that. Took some spotting, even though our guide knew the place to look.

Both eyes are just-about visible, so you should know if you've found it! :D

EDIT: You'll probably need to open up the full-size image, though.

Found it but I had to blow the image up full size and scan along it.
How on Earth did you spot it Maguari?
:)

Travel with a good local guide. ;)

It was the guide, Abiy's spot, not mine. He knew a fairly small area that they could normally be found (same place we saw the rock hyrax), and had a scope to help. I couldn't see it at all until I'd seen it in his scope (and even then I kept losing it in binos until it turned round and flashed its eyes again!). Thanks to Abiy I think all the group managed to get a decent view in the end.

I think i found it straight away on the small image, it some how stood out, a life first for me that, It usually take me ages to find things.
looking on the large image I may be wrong..............

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT

upper middle center within a garland of dead twigs?

Oke in original size it is quite easy to spot (10 seconds), but on this photo I wouldn't have found it
