Not the best photo, but it still shows how a common ichneumon runs ;). They are remarkably distinctive from the white-tailed mongoose that are very common here. The ichneumon is much more weasel-like in their behavior.

I thought it was a monitor lizard! Still, bonus points for doing a creative pan blur shot (much like a certain forum member from Arizona is known to do ).
