Nice photo Toddy! This appears to be a perfect habitat for moose, and does the signage actually say "moose" at the zoo? Some European collections have different names for the species.
All the zoos in Europe that I have seen having these animals call them "moose" on their english signage. But I know that some people get them confused with elks.
Apparently, a moose is always a moose
But in Europe, moose can also be called an elk
While in America and elk is what the Europeans cáll a wapiti deer
