ID Please

Near to the Maasai Mara
The one on the right is a Red-eyed Dove, it\'s the one on the left that I can\'t work out. The Dove should give an idea of scale though.

Maybe a fluffed up African Thrush? (Turdus pelios)

Looking at the bill it looks more like a honeyguide, but which one no idea, especially with this white wing around the eye...

The dove is a ring-necked dove btw, not a red-eyed dove.

I don't think it's a thrush either, too small compared to the pigeon. I also thought initially that the dove was a ring-necked, but then I remembered that the red-eyes can look black at certain angles or from a distance.

But even when looking at the original there is no red eye-ring and the head is clearly grey and not pink.

The only Honeyguide that I can find that has an eye ring like that is a juvenile Greater Honeyguide, and if you zoom in there does seem to be some yellow marking on the chest that is obscured by the glare. However the colour of the beak seems to be wrong, and this bird doesn't look right for any of the other species.

With regards to the Dove, I think Ring-necked is correct. I just wrote Red-eyed without checking properly, and both species were around.

This lack of ID has been bothering me for a while, so I uploaded this to a birding forum to see if I could get an ID there.
There were a few suggestions chucked around and the ID of a Yellow-spotted Petronia was settled upon.
What are your thoughts on this?
I think it looks ok as an ID, but I wouldn't say I'm 100% on it to be honest.

Yellow-spotted petronia may well be correct, seems more plausible than a honeyguide...
