The large outdoor paddock for Asian elephants in Givskud Zoo, Denmark. This exhibit is part of the Asiatic area of the zoo. Good things about this paddock is the massive size, grass and decent pool. Not so good things are the lack of shade and indoor space (during winter).
Givskud Zoo now functions as a retirenment home for Asian elephant cows. When this picture was taken the group consisted of five females, all above the age of 35.
