Part of the lion drive-through exhibit on the Safari Route in Givskud Zoo. This exhibit opened along with the park in 1969 and houses a large group of lions (Panthera leo). The landscaping is a gorgeous woodland with both trees and open terrain.
The Safari Route opened in 1972 and was completely restructured in 1991. After the restructuring it consisted of six drive-through enclosures, one of which was later scrapped to make way for the gorillas and one is no longer drive-through. Currently it consists of one Pampas, one Prairie and two savannahs, one non-drive-through savannah and the lion enclosure.
