One of the giant otters (Pteronura brasiliensis) inside the Giant Otter Tropical House in Givskud Zoo. Givskud Zoo received 1.1 giant otters in 2012 for the opening of the new exhibit, possibly the best exhibit for this species in Europe.
This tropical house is 500 m2 in size and opened in June 2012. In 2013 a 1200 m2 outdoor exhibit will be added. The Giant Otter House was built around the old school building.
