I've seen several in capticity ( and taken care for about 5 at Walsrode ) but I can imagenate that seeing them in the wild will be something complete different !
I've always thought that shoebills have the most judgmental expression. This photo captures it perfectly. It's like he's asking what you're doing in his swamp.
