It would be really very hard and difficult to argue that such dark and unsharp photo taken with the contemporary digital camera is any kind of “natural art”. Perhaps you meant that the photographic object (in this instance snow leopard) is the natural art “per se”. Yes, from this point of view everything on our Earth could be regarded as “natural art” – “The Art of the God” if you are creationist or “The Art of Evolution” – if you believe to evolution. But if you really want to see “true natural art” you should go to caves of Altamira (Spain) and Lascaux (France).

I'm afraid you do not follow !!! There are some objective and timeless canons of the art !! I wonder if you would be so forgiving to see that the photo featuring let's say "black rhino" is described as "white rhino" !!!
No need to apologize Rillekolmård! I like these pictures of yours a lot and wouldn´t have been sursprised at all if I saw them at a modern art galley!
But also, just as CZjimmy wrote, I don´t think we should take the concept of "art" to seriously here at ZooChat. It is not an "art site" as such.
Although, and by the way, I wouldn´t necessarily agree with fanalouka that there is such a thing as an "objective" canon of art, but this is probably not the place for such a discussion....
Dear All Participants of this “art – not art” debate !!!
· I think that a small dose of critcism doesn’t hurt anyone! (I am really very sorry if did !!!)
· You may not take a relativistic view of everything !! Believe me there are some sacred, inviolable rules and principles in our crazy world as well. Even the theory of relativity itself is based on some fundamental axioms!
· And to all who said that I am too serious – I recommend one of Winnie-the-Pooh’s hum.
On Monday, when the sun is hot
I wonder to myself a lot:
"Now is it true, or is it not,"
"That what is which and which is what?"
On Tuesday, when it hails and snows,
The feeling on me grows and grows
That hardly anybody knows
If those are these or these are those.
On Wednesday, when the sky is blue,
And I have nothing else to do,
I sometimes wonder if it's true
That who is what and what is who.
On Thursday, when it starts to freeze
And hoar-frost twinkles on the trees,
How very readily one sees
That these are whose--but whose are these?
On Friday.......
