The definition of the art you can find in every dictionary or lexicon. Actually - every photo is (well, perhaps should be !!!) small piece of art.
Of course there are some basic canons of the art, which should be comply with. But on the other hand please remember that the perception of the art is always very subjective !! So do not be surprise that not all viewers will share your opinion. Yes, your photos are interesting but is this art?? And are they really beautifull???
this photo (and the others) certainly do justify being called art. All of the photos rillekolmard posted here are abstract and almost by definition something created abstractly by man is art. This particular photo could easily be hung in a gallery and be considered as art by all viewing it.
