I think it was probably later than that as she was around when my parents were kids in the 60s, unless she left Oxford as a calf?

Rosie arrived at Oxford in 1931. She was born in 1925. She moved to Bristol on the 1st March 1938 and died on the 21st July 1961. She was definitely wild caught and I have a feeling she started her UK life with Bostock and Wombwell. They broke up in 1932 so the dates are correct. More research needed. John Edwards, Where are you?

I would say the dates are wrong. The elephant in the photo is definitely older than 13. I will check the stats and see what I can find.
