Munkholm Zoo - Coati exhibit

The exhibit for brown-nosed coatis by the farm in Munkholm Zoo, Denmark. Nothing special but good for the coatis. Climbing frames, sleeping dens, plants, woodchips on the floor and a small pond makes a decent exhibit.

It looks quite big but what is the purpose of that big pole coming out of the exhibit?

That is for the coatis to climb. As you can see there is plastic wrapped around the top of the pole outside the exhibit preventing the coatis from escaping. The idea is that visitors will be able to see coatis above them though I have never seen them actually using the big pole.

Understandable the Coatis don't go over there, what's in it for them? They should've created some sort of bridge between two exhibits, so it would have a purpose to climb the "bridge."
