endemic to Chile
Do you know the scientific name of this one carlos55 ? Have kept some ( also a long time ago ) privatly and althrought it look like this one I'm not completly sure.

It is Callopistes Maculatus. Again like the giant coot, the kodkod, marine otter, this another species i did not see at the Santiago zoo or Buin zoo but only mounted at the Natural History Museum of Santiago, Chile. This species is endemic to Chile where it called iguana chilena.

Yes thats the one ! Thank you very much carlos55 ! It was imported - with quite a number of other chile-ian endemic herp -species - in Europe in the 1980-ties. Next to a couple of this species I also kept some Liolaemus-species ( in English Swifts or Swift lizards ), very colorfull animals ( at least the species I kept like Liolaemus tenuis ).
