The male Kubwa is pure-bred. Alas the females are a willful by-product of cross-breeding and therefore hybrids (incidentally the offspring Kito was from way after the EAZA management procedure that seeks to prevent hybrids from being produced.
After the recent death of hybrid female Mia, I do hope they get things sorted soon.
