By providing all kind of substates - small holes in tree-stumps, clay, hey and so on - it is a nesting-place, a hidding place and a resting place for all kinds of insects and other invebrates. This is a big one and many European zoos have them but for your privat garden there are also smaller ones avaible - and they are quite populair overhere in Europe.
