Cassowary enclosures

Just out of curiosity, what kind of barriers are keeping this cassowary from the general public? The open gate on the right-hand side of the photo makes it seem as if the bird can access the area in the foreground...fairly close to the camera. Is there a second barrier not seen in this photo?

There are two fences. One is a low fence in the inside of the enclosure (about 1/1.5 m) and the a taller fence (like the ones in the photo) about 1m out from that on the visitors side.

The cassowary paddocks in the Tasmania Zoo don't even have a stand off barrier! you could hand feed the birds if you wanted to, they were very friendly and very close to the fence when we went there.
