This set of photos is fairly depressing! I'm visiting Scotland later this month, and, usually, would make every effort to pop into the zoo whilst up there. However, I think that for the moment I'd rather not see the place in this state.
Had I known how my visit panned out, multiple repeat exhibits, 5 I think for Goeldi's monkey alone!
And no sign of Siberian musk deer or Nile lechwe, no signage on the African plains for the lechwe.
The koala house was also closed for "maintenance".
Wish I'd gone to Five sisters!
@kiang The Nile Lechwe was signposted in August when Thylo and myself visited - so that may well be another one for the "species lost from Edinburgh" list......
