@Arizona Docent I labelled it Asia because sables, while from Africa, are on the Asia Loop. There are some geographical woes at Zoo Miami (lions, sables, addax, hyenas and African wild dogs on the Africa loop, guanacos, rheas and Spider monkeys on the end of the African loop). What are your thoughts about Zoo Miami if you have visited?
Yes I assumed that the zoo had placed them on the Asia trail out of necessity even though they are from Africa. I did visit the zoo in summer - when was it - two and a half years ago? I was impressed as I am a fan of large enclosures. However I was disappointed with the small size of the jaguar and other exhibits in the newer South America section, which did not fit in at all with the feel of the rest of the zoo. (I did, however, get some good jaguar photos).
