@GraysonDP This 1.5 acre grizzly bear exhibit is the best thing in the zoo and even though I live 20 minutes away I have not visited in more than 5 years. If you "Google" the Greater Vancouver Zoo you'll find a history of bizarre and unfortunate animal deaths (red panda, 4 zebras in a single week, an eagle in a bird show, several hippos, etc.) and many protests. It is privately fun and for-profit although there are many spacious, impressive paddocks for 25+ hoofstock species. The carnivore exhibits are all chain-link cages and I used to visit all the time between 2009-2011 but the air of disappointment I had caused me to abandon the facility.
