Nice enclosure from the look of it. I think mixing the Bears with one other suitable species e.g. Coati, probably works fine, as here.

I visited Zurich Zoo in the fall of 2003 (just after Masoala Rainforest opened) and the spectacled bear/coati exhibit was spellbinding. The entire habitat is simply brilliant and hundreds of zoos later it is still one of my all-time favourite exhibits.

This is just... wow... I mean... this is brilliant! It gives me some relief to know that some bears have the privilege to live in enclosures like this, a shame that some many bears are still stuck in grottos here in the States.

@snowleopard And there's been a string of world-class developments since (Pantanal, Semien, Kaeng Krachan, etc.). In another decade (Australia, Lewa Savanna, gorillas), I don't think anywhere will match Zurich on exhibit quality.
