Great Apes of Harambee exhibit
It's not quite as bad as it appears in these pictures. It's just that it's winter here now and everything looks drab and barren. I've posted other pictures here of the enclosure in the summer and it looks better. There is more greenery at other times of the year.
 
Oh, sorry. In that case you're correct. Other than the rocks, there's only one other man-made "dead tree" around for climbing, and I've never seen any of the gorillas or drills in it.

The other half of the exhibit, where the chimpanzees are usually kept, is larger and has a lot more climbing structures and foliage areas. They do sometimes switch the animals between the two halves of the exhibit.
