Pleistohorse

Two Bands of Dall Sheep on south slopes of Wolverine Peak.

Dall Sheep on Wolverine Peak. From Glen Alps overlook. Anchorage. August 2016.
Ha! Had they not spent most of the summer on that ridge (moving back and forth along it), I might agree with you!

You can often see Dall sheep at closer range on the highway just south of Anchorage (as Pleistohorse well knows).

@savethelephant: That's a long walk with some serious hill climbing. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit most of my wildlife pics are are taken from the comfort of my driver's seat! And Arizona Docent is 100% correct. Several pull outs on the Seward Highway can get you pretty close to Dall Sheep with very little effort.

Hence why I said it would take a day:p;)

But for sure if you're able to see these guys without even leaving your car then that is definitely the smarter option:D
